Dolly Parton delivered a remarkable performance of “Jolene” during her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, gracing the stage with a star-studded ensemble including Pink, Sheryl Crow, Rob Halford, Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox, Dave Stewart, Brandi Carlile, and Simon Le Bon. This energetic performance felt like a victory lap, celebrating the Queen of Country’s legendary career.

Parton began with the iconic hook, setting the stage for a duet with Pink, who eagerly took the first verse. Pink’s excitement was evident as she shared the stage with the iconic Dolly Parton. Annie Lennox of Eurythmics followed with the next verse, and the chorus turned into a powerful ensemble effort with all the star vocalists contributing.

The impressive lineup continued with Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran taking his turn on the mic, followed by the dynamic vocals of Pat Benatar and metal legend Rob Halford.

The performance was a hit, attracting 1.1 million viewers who watched the live rendition of “Jolene” on YouTube. Pink had the privilege of inducting Dolly Parton into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the 37th annual ceremony on November 5, 2022, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The event also saw the induction of other legendary acts like Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, and Judas Priest.

With the Zac Brown Band backing her, Parton performed two songs at the ceremony, including the fittingly titled “Rockin’ It.” The evening was a tribute to her lasting influence and versatility as an artist.

Initially hesitant about her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Parton eventually embraced the honor. In her acceptance speech, she joyfully declared, “I’m a rock star now!” She explained her initial doubts, saying, “I’m sure a lot of you knew that back when they said they were gonna put me in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I didn’t feel like I had done enough to deserve that. And I didn’t understand at the time that it’s about more than that. But I’m just so honored and so proud to be here tonight.”
